Allan Kluber
I came to Eugene in 1969 to do an MFA and expected to return east in 2 years. And here I am now! For 20 years I made pots and then did other things for the next 30 years. Four summers ago, a trip through Southern Utah unexpectedly reignited my interest in clay. I saw the magnificent rock formations in terms of ceramic processes, and upon returning I started to make small eroded rock sculptures. Then my functional roots reasserted themselves, and I am now making colored clay pots that are geologically layered, cut and rearranged. My garage has two large ceramic display/storage cabinets which are welcome to be viewed by appointment.
