Annie Heron Ceramics
I make pots because it makes me happy! When customers appreciate them, I get even happier! It is a way for me to release my capacity for play, while producing something of use and beauty. I hope that those who use my pottery in their home or garden will feel their lives enriched by it. I work primarily in stoneware, firing at cone 10 in a gas-fired kiln. I also do some work in an electric kiln at cone 6. I love texture and color, so playing with impressed textures and glaze combinations are both an important part of my work. My primary inspiration is from nature, and I spend as much time outdoors as possible to inform my work.
