Saturday, October 4th
10:00am - 12:00pm Kate Thornhill
"Clay Food Crafting: Sushi, Tacos, and Cheeseburgers." Learn to create tasty foods using clay. We’ll walk through hand building sculpting techniques to make three popular favorites: a cheesy pizza slice complete with toppings, a loaded taco with all the fixings, and a juicy cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Perfect for kids and beginners, this demo covers basic shaping, texturing, and detailing methods to bring your clay creations to life.
12:00-2:00 pm Tea Duong
"Pushing Clay." Our local throwing wizard will extend what seems possible several times before your eyes.
2:00-4:00 pm Allan Kluber
“Further Developments in Horizontally Layered Colored Clay.” A trip to Southern Utah inspired me to develop a new way of working with clay that is similar to geologic processes. After all, ceramics is geology, just smaller and faster. This process layers colored clay like sedimentary rock and then alters it as with faulting and other disruptions. Development continues and the demonstration will go through the process from its inception up to current discoveries.
4:00-6:00pm Dave Winget
"Playing Around on the Wheel." Fun tricks and concepts to give you a better understanding of the pottery wheel. Over 25 years of experience!

Sunday, October 5th
11:00am - 1:00pm Kat Franken
"Bring Your Clay to Life." A few different methods for hand-building whimsical creatures.
1:00-3:00pm Darah Lundberg
"Altering Techniques to Loosen and Liven Up Rigid Forms."
3:00-5:00pm Jenna Vannest
"Dripping Effect." Learn how to create the effect
of thick drip lines on a mug by adding layers of texture and effect onto your vessel. We will experiment and play with how this technique can transform your work and add depth and whimsy.
